About this service
Assessment and treatment of recurrent tonsillitis, enlarged adenoids and the sleep and breathing problems they cause in children and adults. All Care was among the first centers in Abu Dhabi to offer tonsillar reduction as an alternative to removal.
Why it matters
Enlarged tonsils and adenoids are a common and very treatable cause of snoring, mouth breathing and restless sleep in children. Where suitable, reduction can relieve the obstruction while preserving the tonsils.
What you can expect
- Tonsillectomy: Removal of the tonsils for recurrent tonsillitis or obstructed breathing, in children and adults.
- Adenoidectomy: Removal of enlarged adenoids that block the nose and disturb sleep, most often in children.
- Adenotonsillectomy: A combined procedure when both the tonsils and adenoids are contributing to symptoms.
- Tonsillar Reduction: Reducing rather than removing the tonsils in suitable patients, preserving tissue while relieving obstruction.
- Peritonsillar Abscess Drainage: Prompt treatment of a painful collection of pus beside the tonsil (quinsy).
- Snoring & Sleep Assessment: Evaluation of snoring and disturbed sleep linked to enlarged tonsils or adenoids.
